Email Marketing is extremely important for driving bookings from both direct guests and travel agents. Here's our short guide on how to use email marketing for your hotel.
B2C Emailers for Direct Guests
These emailers must be engaging and loyalty-related. If you're running a blog at your hotel — ensure that a snippet of your blog shows here. Send offers for long stays, loyalty programmes, festive greetings, exciting events around your location, beautiful photographs, etc.
Ensure that your database keeps increasing by putting up a simple form on your website asking visitors for their email address. You should also collect email addresses while taking a reservation or at check-in. Send an emailer on a monthly basis, in order to not be thrown into the spam section.
B2B Emailers for Corporates and Travel Agents
Ideally, these should be two different emailers:
- Travel Agents: Emailers must be to the point — in terms of commissions, net rates, discounts and packages
- Corporates: Emailers should feature discounts, a bonus to the booker, location of the property, proximity to the airport & railway station
Offering a complimentary breakfast to corporate clients via an emailer is also highly recommended.
How to Design an Emailer
- Get high-resolution photographs of your hotel or pick up some free images from stock photo websites
